1. Where is the conference? The conference location is at the Bridgewater Banquet and Conference Center in Powell, the suburban of the city, Columbus, Ohio. By car, it will take you approximately thirty minutes from/to the Columbus airport. The address is 10561 Sawmill Parkway, Powell, OH 43065. 2. Are there any hotels nearby the conference location? Yes, there are hotels (at your own expense) which some of them do provide shuttle services to the conference center and/or airport. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need information. 3. How much does the conference registration cost me?
If you are a woman between the ages 22 - 61 years old, the cost is $55 for all day.
If you are a senior citizen from age 62 and up, the cost is $45 for all day.
If you are a young girl ages from 14 - 21 years old, it is free for you. We still need you to register your name, address and phone/email address.
4. What will I do all day at the conference? Our goal is for you to have a great time! We will serve you breakfast and lunch with snacks availability throughout the day. There will be ice breaker activity, opening keynote, 12 different sessions, massage services available, live/silent auctions, and exhibition booths. What a great way to network, make new friends, and learn something new! 5. What should I wear at the conference? We encourage everyone to wear comfortable clothing. Some sessions include physical activity such as Yoga. We trust your judgement knowing by attending a conference is to wear clothing that is discreet and respectful to everyone. 6. Will the conference provide food for those of us who are vegetarians, gluten-free, and/or have specific dietary restrictions? For those with dietary restrictions, send an email to email@example.com (after you've registered) by October 6th of your dietary needs. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. 7. What will the Young Girls do at the conference? As you can see from the schedule, young girls will be part of the conference for some of the time throughout the day. For example, they will join us for meals, opening keynote, and the candlelighting ceremony. They can also enjoy the silent/live auctions as well as the exhibition booths. 8. Can hearing women attend the conference? This conference is for *Deaf women as it is hosted by Deaf Women United and Deaf Women of Ohio. We also recognize there may be hearing women attending the conference because of their specific roles for the accessibility services, if needed. (ie: ASL interpreters). We hope you recognize the space is needed for *Deaf women of all walks of life to come together which often is a rare opportunity.
